SPRING 2012 REGISTRATION IS OPEN

SageBrush Player

Sagebrush Youth Soccer League has been serving Southern Nevada since 1966 with one objective to provide playing opportunities to every girl and boy to enjoy the world's most popular sport. Along the way some of the most successful players have been developed in our program. We believe that all players should be able to develop their soccer skills and knowledge to the best of their abilities, both individually and as members of a team, in order to maximize their enjoyment of the game. Sagebrush League prides itself in creating a positive environment based on mutual respect, rather than a win-at-all-costs attitude. Our league's programs are designed to instill good sportsmanship in every facet of competition. We train and encourage our coaches to make the extra effort to understand and offer positive help to our players, rather than negative criticism. Our goal is for kids to play soccer with minimal coaching to allow players develop their skills with creative decision making and strategic thinking. In Sagebrush League we try our best to emulate classic "street soccer" where children of many skill levels choose up teams and play together for a fun neighborhood game. This is a similar environment to where many of the greatest soccer players in the world developed their skills.

We have expanded over the years to include the children of Southern Nevada. We are a non-profit organization run by volunteers. Sagebrush Youth Soccer League is affiliated with Nevada Youth Soccer Association (NYSA), United States Soccer Federation (ussoccer.com) & US Youth Soccer (USYSA).

All players registered with Sagebrush are eligible to play in all State sanctioned tournaments. Our games are scheduled at the Silver Bowl Soccer Complex located off Boulder Highway and Russell Road in Las Vegas, Nevada.

PRACTICES
Practices will be held on various fields according to space availability at the Silver Bowl Soccer Complex.

Each coach will set the practice times and days of the week for his or her own team. Players are expected to attend all practices in order for them to be able to play in the game. If a player must miss practice, coaches should be notified before the scheduled practice time. All players must have shin guards and cleats to practice and play in. No player will be allowed on the field without the proper equipment. All games are played on Saturdays starting from 8:00am until 4:00pm.
